A power tool is a tool that is actuated by an additional power source and mechanism other than the solely manual labor used with hand tools. The most common types of power tools use electric motors. Internal combustion engines and compressed air are also commonly used. Fortunately, times have drastically changed since the invention of power tools. The same heavy tasks that used to take days to finish are now easily done within a matter of hours. It won’t be wrong to say that power devices have made work easier, faster, and productive. A quick glance at history shows that it all started by the ancient Egyptians who are credited for the invention of the first type of power tool.
